What is the No Man's Sky alphabet?

It's the blocky alien lettering you see on signs, menus and loading screens in No Man's Sky. Every English letter A–Z and digit 0–9 has its own shape, so any word can be written in it.

How do I write English in the NMS font?

Type in the Live Translator box. Your text appears in the NMS font as you type, and Copy puts it on your clipboard for Discord, Reddit or a base sign.

How do I decode NMS text I saw in the game?

Switch to NMS Font → Text and tap the tile that matches each shape. The English appears underneath, letter by letter.

How do I read portal glyphs from a screenshot?

Open the Portal glyphs tab and choose a screenshot, or use Scan with camera. You get the 12-digit hex address, the planet from the NMS Almanac and a button to open it on the Galactic Map.

Can it translate Gek, Korvax or Vy'keen?

No. Those are languages you learn word by word in the game. This tool translates the NMS alphabet font, which spells English letters.

Is it free?

Yes. No account and no sign-up, and it installs as an app on your phone or computer.
